Discogs Pricing
Discogs.com is a platform for music fans to discover, buy, and sell vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, and other physical formats. It's free to list items for sale. When an item is sold, a 9% fee is charged on both the item and shipping costs, with a minimum of $0.10 and a maximum of $150.
To price items for sale, the following steps are suggested:
- Determine the condition of the item. The value lies not just in the release information, but also in the condition.
- Check the sales history. The most recent sales history for all items sold in the Marketplace is provided.
- Double-check the Marketplace. Compare your prices with active listings.
- Review the suggested price. When listing an item for sale, Discogs suggests a price based on the item’s version, condition, and recent sales history.
Remember, the value of a record is determined by its release version, condition, and recent sales history. The lowest, median, and highest sale price is automatically calculated and displayed on the release page based on the 30 most recent sales of that item.
Payment Method
At Discogs.com, the payment methods include PayPal, credit card, and debit card. In selected countries, localized payment methods like Sofort (Germany, Austria, Italy, Belgium, The Netherlands, Spain), iDeal (The Netherlands), and Mercado Pago (Brazil, Mexico) are also available.

All that is needed is to click the ‘Connect to PayPal’ button now available in the Discogs Seller Settings to onboard in minutes. No changes need to be made to the existing PayPal account.

Discogs Return Policy?
At Discogs, the Send Refund feature is available for 90 days after the order has been created. It is available only if the order is in the status Payment Received or Shipped. Once the Send Refund option is selected, a pop-up menu will appear. If a Full Refund is selected, the entire amount will be sent back to the buyer.
Sellers are expected to work with buyers professionally and courteously to provide a solution in accordance with their Seller Terms and Seller Policy. If a buyer feels they should receive a refund, they should contact the seller by leaving a polite and clear message on the order page indicating their concerns about the item, and asking the seller to provide a resolution.
Please note that sellers can require the item to be returned before sending a refund. Should this be the case, it is advised that the buyer and the seller reach an agreement regarding the return shipping cost. If the seller does not respond within four days and there are concerns about the process of resolution, the buyer can click the blue "Seller not responding?" link under the message box on the order page.
If the seller does not provide a refund or respond, it is advised for buyers to contact their payment provider (PayPal, credit card, bank, etc) to file a refund request. Discogs does not handle financial transactions between buyers and sellers and, therefore, is unable to process or initiate a refund. If a buyer is unable to resolve the issue with the seller, it will be up to them to contact their payment provider within their deadline for doing so.
